Malik Hospital has the distinction of being the oldest hospital of Hisar. It founders Drs’ R.S. Malik & (Mrs.) S. Malik had the motto,” Give your best to patients and have faith in God”. These two young doctors came to Hisar in 1966. Cholera was an epidemic here and every summer hundreds of children died due to cholera in Hisar and the surrounding villages. Almost single handedly , Dr R S Malik eradicated cholera deaths in and around Hisar. Malik Hospital opened its gates to patients in 1971. The hospital has since expanded to include departments of medicine, gynecology, psychiatry, plastic surgery and radiology.

The hospital caters to patients from districts of Hisar, Bhiwani, Rohtak, Fatehabad, Sirsa, Ganganagar, Bhadra, Bahadurgarh, Hanumangarh and as far as Ludhiana.

The hospital is affiliated to the international NGO, “Smile Train Organization” .Under their flag, the hospital operates on cleft lip and palate patients without charging the patient a single Rupee. Patients from sixteen states have comes and got operated under this programme in this hospital.
